grateful for Christ

Edit: I have been praying about this one for a few days now. There is something that feels like this is not the right place/audience/time for this message. That’s my theory so far, anyway. Maybe it isn’t even how God wanted it presented. Sometimes He gives me the direct words and wants me to put it into teaching form. I sort of did that here at the end, but I left the direct message. I suspect that it gets in the way of people receiving it–at least on this type of forum.

It seems like when God speaks through me in a very direct way, it is done in person for certain purposes, and it is well-received when it is done this way. With messages like this, on a forum such as a blog, I think something gets in the way of its reception. Ultimately, I feel that God did not want me to post this as it was–not here, not now, not in this form.

I pray that this is not just my fear of misusing the gifts God has given me getting in the way, but I suspect that what I’ve said so far is true. If so, I have learned a little something about how the gift of prophecy works: just because a message comes does not mean that I am free to blurt it out, electronically or verbally. I can and must pray about it to see how it is to be used. It’s too bad so much of the church pretends this gift died out nearly two-thousand years ago. Maybe I could speak to others with this gift to learn how it fully operates. It confuses me, and I don’t like trial-and-error. :/

If there is something from this post that I become sure God would have me make public, such as the teaching section, I will repost it. But I won’t do it hastily–I’ll make God have to pester me about it first. :)
